IMPORTANT to know about children mobiles.
Many "mobiles" on the market are just colourful, detailed things hanging disorganized with no, or barely recognized movement.
Flensted mobiles are designed to be visually stimulating for your child. Babies up to 6 months do not see colours and small children do not recognise details which adults regard as humorous, so shape and contrast are important and – above all – a mobile for a baby or small child must move. A Flensted mobile is not a tactile ‘dangle' for a child to touch and handle - and must be hung out of reach of small hands.
Another observation. Sometimes it is said that flat shapes hung vertically cannot be seen from below. This is not true. Even when seen at a small angle from the vertical, the rotation of the mobile and its individual elements will make the shapes appear and disappear, adding an interesting, fourth dimension to your mobile.
